  • I Googled "teacher pages" and found the teacher pages to Jupiter Community High School. The teacher pages did not include much public information other than the names, email addresses, and grade levels that the teachers taught. I think this makes sense because it probably would not be the safest idea to publish too much information publicly on the internet. I personally never knew that teacher pages existed prior to this assignment, so it's pretty cool to learn more about it! Here's the link  to the website I used!

  • I have not had much experience with blogging prior to creating this blog! I did create a blog using Blogger during my senior year of high school/freshman year of college. However, I felt as though it was a bit tedious to keep up with so I decided to delete it. The good news is that my prior experiences with blogging have made me more familiar with the assignments for the EME2040 course and beyond! I enjoy reading blog posts from other students in the class. I like how blogging is a way for me to connect with others and helps to organize what I've learned in the course.

  • For my Web Evaluation project, I created an assignment for 4th grade students through Microsoft Word. I've never created a Web Evaluation before, so figuring out how it works was a bit of a challenge for me at first. I liked how easy it was to create new web evaluations through the templates available on Microsoft Word! I find it amazing how there are resources available that create website evaluations so effortlessly for us and all we have to do is edit them! I cannot think of anything that I did not like about it other than how creating content for a Web Evaluation required some extra creative thinking. I would like to improve it by including more fill in the blank questions so that my students can figure out more on their own! The skills I used for this assignment can be used for my future career because if I become a teacher I will need to teach my students how to use technology.

  1. Hey Jennifer! I liked your input, I too, found a similar class page with some basic teacher/school info. Happy to see they don't post anything about the students on there and respect their privacy! I also really like your web eval. form. It is super user friendly and I like how you incorporated color! I am going to look to use more color on our upcoming assignments.

"The Flipped Classroom" is a class that incorporates instruction outside of the classroom in addition to instruction in the classroom. This is usually done through providing assignments and instruction online to enhance learning. "The Flipped Classroom" is a nontraditional form of learning and instruction. It's beneficial to students because it keeps the learning process going no matter where they are located as long as they have access to a computer. I wish I had been given more online instructional tools when I was in grade school, I believe that "The Flipped Classroom" is every classroom's future! The digital divide is a fancy way of saying that some students have easier access to technology, such as computers/tablets, than others. The causes of digital divide vary, but it's primarily because of financial or geographical reasons. This is because some students may not be able to afford to access the technology or they may live in a rural ...

Hello! My name is Minnie. I am currently a student studying Creative Writing and Criminology at Florida State University. My dream job after college is to either become a high school English teacher or go to graduate school to be a licensed clinical social worker. I absolutely adore spending time with my cat, reading, and traveling abroad. Some of the current books on my summer reading list are The Handmade's Tale, Normal People, and Becoming Michelle Obama. I have traveled to: England, Scotland, France, The Netherlands, Canada, the Bahamas, Canada, Tanzania, and Kenya. My prior experiences using technology in a classroom setting included using the classroom's smart-board when I was in elementary school. For those of you who don't know what a smart board is, it's an interactive, touch screen board that replaces traditional white boards in classrooms. Through using my laptop and smartphone in my everyday life, I have had primarily positive experiences with modern...
